Exuberant joy

What is exuberant joy? It is the idea that you are moving forward in life without the same struggles of yesterday or is it more marked than that? Could it be the birth of a new baby? So how long does that exuberant joy get to last? Here’s the thing about not being able to identify what exuberant joy really is. If you can’t identify it then you can’t decide to feel it. Exuberant joy isn’t something that simply happens to you. If you aren’t even open to it then you won’t ever be open to it. And if you aren’t open to it then you won’t be able to bring it into your life. There is a reason why we have to be able to use basic emotional identifiers in order to feel the emotions that we want to feel. Without knowing what it is we are likely to mislabel it, redirect it, or even become fearful of it.

Exuberant joy is an overwhelming emotion that is filled with happiness and peace, like the tears of happiness that can’t be contained. When you feel it you know that the entire world is at your mercy if even for just one moment. Once you feel it, you know that you can’t be wary of feeling it again, and you embrace it and even seek it out. But without that first moment where you identified it, you would be hard pressed to find it and feel it again. Exuberant joy is pure bliss, and it is a bliss that is well worth feeling even when it feels risky.
